USE OF A "CLEAN SPOT" WHERE WASTE CAN BE SORTED AND STORED AND THEN TAKEN TO THE APPROPRIATE RECYCLING PLANT.

Brief Description of the Activity:

Polystyrene is generated by the use of polystyrene for “packaging” of fish in Lonjas, which is transferred to the “Point clean” where it is compacted for subsequent transfer to the plant tobe transformed to make new plastics.
Pallets and parts of wood for packagin are transported daily to the “Clean point” and later transfer to the plant, mainly used for the manufacture of briquettes. The same with materials as plastics, organic waste and so on.

Brief Description of the Activity:

The Port Authority participates in the 3R fish project, from which the following is signed an agreement with “Ecopilas”, for the free removal of batteries in the Port of Vigo, mainly batteries from ships are collected of fishing that use them in the illumination of their fishing gears.
